Nayi Soch, Nayi Rah: Guiding Futures in Hyderabad's Old City

By Syed Younus

In the crowded lanes of Hyderabad’s Old City, dreams often outgrow opportunities. Young boys and girls studying in government and low-income private schools aspire to do more—but often lack direction, exposure, or the confidence to take the next step.
At Humari Pahal Care Foundation, we asked ourselves a simple question: What if a little guidance today could prevent a dropout tomorrow? That question shaped one of our most impactful initiatives—“Nayi Soch, Nayi Rah”—a career guidance and personality development program for high school students.

Why It Matters

Students in areas like Azampura,Yakutpura, Dabeerpura, Talab Katta, and Rein Bazar face multiple challenges:

Pressure to earn at an early age

Lack of awareness about career options

Absence of mentors or role models

Social constraints, especially for girls

Low self-esteem and communication gaps

These barriers often lead to students dropping out after Class 10.

Our Approach: From Confusion to Clarity

“Nayi Soch, Nayi Rah” is not just a series of workshops. It’s a full-circle support system designed to help high schoolers dream, plan, and move confidently toward higher education.

Key Components:

Career Discovery Workshops using interactive methods and local success stories

One-on-One Mentoring with relatable role models

Spoken English & Personality Building classes to boost confidence

Parental Engagement sessions to build support at home

Scholarship & Admission Support for smooth transitions into college

Exposure Visits & Career Talks with professionals from diverse backgrounds

Real Lives, Real Change

Afreen overcame social pressure and joined a junior college with a dream to become a nurse.

Mohammed Suhail, once unsure about his future, is now pursuing a diploma in electronics with full scholarship support.

Over 75% of mentored students continued into intermediate education or skill-based programs. And the best part? Many return as mentors to guide others.

The Bigger Picture

When we equip a teenager with vision and voice, we don’t just prevent a dropout—we unlock leadership. We break the cycle of helplessness and make space for hope.

At Humari Pahal, we’re not just filling gaps. We’re building bridges—to education, to dignity, and to a better tomorrow.

Would you like to join hands and guide more futures with us?
